The expected commitment is approximately 15–20 hours per week, depending on client requirements. If additional work is available based on client demand, you are welcome to contribute beyond the anticipated weekly commitment. ### **How does the payout structure work?** Only one of the following will be applicable to your project: * **Hourly:** Your payment will be based on the hours you track that are approved by the project team for the work and tasks you complete. * **Pay-Per-Task (PPT):** Compensation is provided for each task that is assigned and subsequently approved by project leadership. The payment for an approved task is determined by multiplying your hourly rate by the Project Payout Multiple, irrespective of the actual time spent on completion. You may still be required to track and submit time records for internal monitoring, project management, or invoicing purposes. The Payout Multiple if applicable will be mentioned in your contract under ‘special clauses’. * **Flat Fee:** You will receive a one-time fixed payment per approved task in USD upon successful delivery of the required content. Payment is contingent upon the submission meeting all project requirements and successfully passing the quality review. No payment will be made for incomplete, rejected, or unapproved submissions. This fee will also be mentioned in your contract under ‘special clauses’. **Note:** Please review the contract agreement to better understand the terms and conditions applicable to your contract type. ### Am I permitted to maintain a full-time job alongside this role?  Yes, you are welcome to continue your regular day job. This engagement is a part-time opportunity designed to be managed in conjunction with existing commitments, subject to your availability and project requirements. ### **What is the expected duration of the project?** The overall project duration varies by client demand. Details regarding the timeline will be shared with you by project leadership on an ongoing basis as they are confirmed by the client. ### **Who is the client for this project?** Due to the need for strict confidentiality, we are unable to disclose the client's name at this preliminary stage. This information will be shared with you upon successful onboarding. ### **Will necessary equipment be supplied by the company?** No, equipment will not be provided. You are required to utilize your own personal laptop for this engagement, as micro1 does not supply devices. If any specific software, device or tool is required for a task, we will inform you in advance and provide access at no cost to you. ### **How are payments processed?** Payments are processed in USD on a bi-monthly basis (twice per month). As part of the onboarding process, you will receive a contract from us via Deel, our payroll platform. Please review and sign the contract in Deel and complete all required onboarding steps, including your profile setup. Once your profile is 100% complete, your onboarding will be considered complete and you'll be ready to be added to your project. ### **What are the primary responsibilities of this role?** In this role, you will leverage your domain expertise to help train and improve the performance of AI models. Your work will be carried out through a dedicated platform, where you will complete tasks focused on AI model evaluation and enhancement. Task requirements may evolve over time based on project needs and your area of expertise. Due to the confidential nature of our projects, detailed task instructions will be shared only after you have successfully completed the onboarding process. Throughout your engagement, our dedicated Human Data team will be available to provide guidance and support whenever needed. ### **Why do I need to complete KYC?** Completing the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is a mandatory step in the onboarding process. KYC is completed through Deel, our payroll platform, and is required to verify your identity and comply with payment regulations. Payments cannot be processed until this step has been successfully completed ### **Why did I receive an email from KarmaCheck?** KarmaCheck is micro1's trusted background check partner. The email you received is a legitimate and mandatory part of your onboarding process. We encourage you to complete the verification as soon as possible to remain compliant with project requirements. Completing your background check promptly helps prevent any delays or restrictions during or after onboarding, ensuring you can continue working without interruption. ### **Does this role involve recording my voice, face, or biometric data?** The contractor agreement includes a standard clause covering biometric data rights. However, for most projects — no voice, video, or biometric capture is required in practice. If your project is text-based, you will not be asked to provide any voice recordings, video, or biometric data as part of your tasks. ### **I have an Existing Deel account.** If you already have a Deel account associated with a micro1 project, please do not sign a new contract using a different email address. If you have an existing Deel account under another email, please reply to your onboarding email and let our team know which email is currently registered with Deel.
